A low, ancient church in the moorland village of Zennor, St Senara is best known for a carved medieval bench end showing the Mermaid of Zennor, mirror in hand — tied to the local tale of a chorister lured away to the sea. Open access. It’s an easy stop between St Ives and the coast path, and the Gurnard’s Head is a mile or two west along the road.
