Come at Christmas for the harbour lights: Mousehole has strung them across the water each December since the 1960s, and on 23 December marks Tom Bawcock’s Eve with a lantern procession and stargazey pie at the Ship Inn. The rest of the year it is a granite fishing village on Mount’s Bay, its tiny harbour all but closed off by a curving breakwater against winter storms.
