The Fleece Inn (Bretforton)
Open accessNational Trust land — free to wander
The Fleece Inn began as a farmhouse in Bretforton and stayed in one family until 1977, when the last of them, Lola Taplin, left it to the National Trust. It’s a fifteenth-century timber-framed pub of low beams and flagged floors, with a rare collection of seventeenth-century pewter and an orchard garden where Morris dancers turn out through the year. It was named Country Pub of the Year at the 2025 Great British Pub Awards. Honeybourne station is about 2.5km to the north-east.
