The Curlers Rest is a stone-walled pub on Byres Road with open fires, said to have a history stretching back to the 17th century, when curlers are reckoned to have played on a nearby pond. It’s a cosy spot for a West End meal or a fireside pint. Partick station is about 1.1km to the south-west.
