The Cod and Lobster perches right on the harbour wall at Staithes, so close to the water that storms have battered and rebuilt it more than once over the years. It’s a fine spot for fresh crab and a pint watching the boats come and go. James Cook served his shopkeeping apprenticeship just up the street. Food served; Lealholm is the nearest station.
