The Anvil Inn began life as the village blacksmith’s shop in Sawdon, in the quiet hills behind Scarborough, and still keeps the old forge feel about it. These days it’s mainly a dining pub, doing good food with a few rooms if you want to stay over. Seamer station is about 9km east.
