On tiny Colonsay, the Colonsay Hotel is the island’s only hotel and bar, which makes it the social hub, near the ferry pier at Scalasaig. It’s a relaxed, sociable place to eat and drink among a small island community. Colonsay is a CalMac ferry from Oban, and the crossing only runs a few days a week, so plan around the timetable and check the bar’s seasonal hours.
