Kiloran Bay is Colonsay’s showpiece beach, a broad sweep of golden sand open to the Atlantic and often rolling with surf. It’s on the north of the island, a few miles from the ferry village of Scalasaig. Colonsay is a small, quiet island reached by CalMac ferry from Oban, so even in summer you’ll often have the sand more or less to yourself.
