From the road at Crianlarich, two big cones dominate the skyline: Ben More and, just south of it, Stob Binnein. Split by a high pass, the pair are the landmark of this corner of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs. At 1,165m Stob Binnein is only a few metres below its neighbour, a Munro — over 3,000 feet — with a distinctive pointed top. The two are usually climbed together in a stiff day from Benmore Glen or Crianlarich, a steep pull with a lot of height to gain, and a fine round on a clear day.
