Stronachlachar sits at the end of a single-track road on the western shore of Loch Katrine, in the heart of Rob Roy MacGregor country. It’s a pier for the loch’s steamer, the SS Sir Walter Scott, which sails across from the Trossachs Pier at the far end. There’s a cafe by the water; otherwise it’s just the loch and the surrounding hills.
