Brig o’ Turk is a wooded hamlet tucked into the heart of the Trossachs, between Loch Achray and Loch Venachar. Victorian artists came here for the scenery — it was on a nearby burn that Millais painted his famous portrait of John Ruskin. It’s still a quiet base for walking and cycling, with the Glen Finglas estate rising behind. The little tearoom has fed passing walkers for years.
