The Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park
Time your visit for late spring and the Himalayan Garden is at its most vivid, when the rhododendrons, azaleas and magnolias come out in force. It’s a valley garden near Grewelthorpe, west of Masham, where the acid soil and springs suit Himalayan plants, and modern sculpture is dotted among the trees and ornamental lakes. It opens seasonally, roughly April to the start of November, with a tearoom on site. Check the days before you go, as it’s closed on Mondays outside bank holidays.
