St Giles' House

St Giles’ House has belonged to the Ashley-Cooper family, the Earls of Shaftesbury, since the fifteenth century, and a recent award-winning restoration has brought the Georgian house back to life as a family home. It isn’t open casually — visits run as pre-booked group tours only, with a minimum of thirty people — but the estate also hosts occasional concerts and events through the year. Worth combining with a stretch of the nearby Hardy Way if you’re passing.
