Wimborne Minster is a market town built around its twin-towered minster church, which keeps a 14th-century astronomical clock and a chained library of 1686, one of the oldest public libraries in the country. The Georgian streets around it are worth a wander, and the much-loved Wimborne Model Town recreates the place at one-tenth scale as it looked in the 1950s.
