Wimborne Minster is easy to pick out by its two towers, one Norman and one later, in banded grey and brown stone. Inside are two rarities: a chained library of 1686, one of the oldest public libraries in the country, and a 14th-century astronomical clock that shows the sun and moon circling the earth. Open daily. Wimborne lost its own railway long ago, so the nearest station is Hamworthy, about 9km south.
