Groombridge Place has formal walled gardens beside a moated manor near Tunbridge Wells, with an ‘Enchanted Forest’ of woodland walks climbing the hillside behind. Sold into private hands in 2023 after a hotel scheme fell through, it’s currently closed to visitors with no public reopening date set. Ashurst station is about 3km north-west.
