Cirencester Park is the great landscaped estate laid out from the early 1700s by the first Earl Bathurst, and still the Bathurst family’s. Its Broad Avenue runs dead straight for five miles from Cecily Hill, at the edge of town, to the Golden Valley at Sapperton. Long walked freely, the park now needs a day pass, bought online or at the gate. Kemble station is about 5km south.
