The topiary yew walk at Miserden was designed by Edwin Lutyens, who also added a wing to the house. Behind it, a walled garden holds one of the longest mixed borders in private hands — roses, delphiniums and herbaceous planting running its length — with the ground falling away to a deer park and the Golden Valley beyond. Open Wednesdays to Sundays from late April to September.
