The gardens at Chirk Castle sit beside the medieval fortress on its ridge — clipped lawns and terraces, a rock garden, and huge yews shaped into domes and cones. The National Trust runs it, and the garden is open to visitors with the castle itself close by. Chirk station is a couple of kilometres to the south.
