Above the town on the Llangollen Canal, Llangollen Wharf runs horse-drawn boat trips along the water towards the Horseshoe Falls — one of the last places in Britain you can still ride a boat pulled by a horse. There’s a tearoom in the old wharf building, and longer powered trips head the other way over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. Seasonal, and the trips are charged.
