Benmore Botanic Garden
Local highlightBenmore’s famous avenue of giant redwoods was planted back in 1863, and the trees now tower right over you as you walk in. It’s a mountainside outpost of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, climbing the hillside above Loch Eck near Dunoon, with rhododendrons and formal gardens further up the slope. Open spring to autumn, with an admission charge.
