Glen Ord, at Muir of Ord on the edge of the Black Isle, has been distilling since 1838 and is now the home of the Singleton single malt. The visitor centre runs tours through the year, with a shop and tastings, and the station is barely a kilometre away — one of the easier distilleries to reach without a car.
