Approximate location — this spot is pinned to the nearest village, so the exact point may be a little way off.

Reelig Glen, in the hills west of Inverness, shelters some of the tallest trees in Britain — Douglas firs of more than 65 metres, along with record-height larch and lime — in a steep gorge above a burn. A gentle waymarked trail loops through the woods from the Forestry and Land Scotland car park, and it stays green and cool even in high summer. Beauly is the nearest station, about 6km off to the north-west.
