Jennings brewed beside the river in Cockermouth for the best part of two centuries, and its Cumberland Ale is a familiar sight across the north. The Cockermouth brewery closed in 2022, but new owners bought the site and the brand in 2025 with plans to bring brewing back to the town. It’s a story still in progress, so if you’re hoping for a tour or the shop, check what’s actually running before you make the trip.
