At the top of Haworth’s steep cobbled Main Street, St Michael and All Angels was where Patrick Brontë served as perpetual curate for 41 years. Most of the present church was rebuilt in 1879–81, though the medieval tower survives, and the Brontë family vault lies inside — the resting place of all the family except Anne, who is buried at Scarborough. Open most days. Keighley station is about 5km off, with the heritage railway or a bus to finish the climb.
