Sir Francis Dashwood rebuilt this hilltop church in the 1760s in grand classical style and crowned the tower with a hollow golden ball you can climb inside — big enough to seat six, and used as a drinking den by his circle. It stands above the Hellfire Caves Dashwood also dug, with the family mausoleum alongside. Open at limited hours; the climb up from West Wycombe is steep.
