Lacey Green Windmill is the oldest surviving smock mill in England — its timber machinery is thought to date from around 1650, over 350 years old. Moved here to the Chilterns ridge in the 1820s, it was restored from near-collapse by the Chiltern Society from 1971. It opens on summer afternoons for a small charge. Saunderton station is about 2km to the south-west.
