Free to wander, this sunken water garden fills a steep wooded chalk combe below the Chilterns scarp at Bledlow, laid out around spring-fed pools and streams crossed by narrow paths and boardwalks. It was made by the Carrington family, whose estate still keeps it, and stays open through daylight hours at no charge. Princes Risborough station is a couple of kilometres east.
