The great sight at Bere Regis is the roof: a carved and painted oak ceiling of around 1485, with life-size figures of the Twelve Apostles projecting out over the nave. It was given by Cardinal John Morton, Archbishop of Canterbury, who was born in the parish. The church is usually open during the day. Wool station is about 8km to the south.
