Out on the machair by Gott Bay on Tiree stand the ruins of Kirkapol, a medieval chapel and its old burial ground. There’s no roof left, but it’s an atmospheric spot right by the sea. Tiree is reached by CalMac ferry from Oban, or by the small plane that lands at the island’s airfield.
