Calgary is the best beach on Mull, a broad crescent of pale sand and machair backed by low green hills at the end of the B8073. It’s the beach that gave its name to the Canadian city, after an emigrant connection in the 1870s. There are no facilities to speak of, just roadside parking and the sand, which is rather the point. The village of Calgary sits just above it.
