A remote sandy bay on the west side of Coll, fringed with flowery machair grassland and backed by the low hill of Ben Hogh. There’s rarely anyone here but you and the birds. Coll is a quiet island even by Hebridean standards, reached by CalMac ferry from Oban, so a beach like Hough rewards the effort of getting out this far.
