Come to Langland for the surf: a neat crescent bay just west of Mumbles, lined with green-and-white beach huts and backed by a café and car park. It picks up Atlantic swell, so boards and wetsuits are the usual sight, and there’s sand at most states of the tide. Lifeguards patrol in season. Swansea station is about 7km to the north-east.
