Caswell Bay is the first proper sandy beach west of Mumbles, a sheltered family bay with a car park, café and seasonal lifeguards. It gets busy on summer weekends. From the far end a coast path leads round to quieter Brandy Cove and beyond. Sand covers most of the beach at low tide. Swansea is around 9km away, with buses running out from the city.
