A wooded limestone valley runs down from Bishopston towards the sea, its stream vanishing underground partway before resurfacing lower down and reaching Pwlldu Bay. The path can be muddy and rooty, with rock to scramble near the caves, but it makes a quiet walk away from the beaches. Gowerton station is about 8km north.
