Come in May for the rhododendrons: Clyne, above Blackpill on Swansea Bay, holds a nationally important collection of more than 800, plus National Collections of Pieris and Enkianthus. The woodland garden was made by the Vivian family of Clyne Castle from the mid-19th century, and is now a registered historic garden run by the council. Free to walk; Swansea station is around 5km to the north-east.
