Cymer Abbey is one of two abbeys the Albion Guide charts in Gwynedd. It is looked after by Cadw. Its Welsh name is Abaty Cymer. The surrounding countryside is part of Eryri National Park.

The closest station is Morfa Mawddach, 10.8 km to the south-west.
