A handsome market town stepping down to the tidal River Deben, Woodbridge has Georgian streets and boatyards, and a rare working tide mill on the quay that still grinds flour on the ebb. Above the town stands Buttrum’s Mill, a tall Victorian tower windmill. Across the river lies Sutton Hoo, the Anglo-Saxon ship-burial site. The station sits right by the quay, a few minutes from the centre.
