Open accessNational Trust land — free to wander
Kyson Hill is a small grassy knoll with specimen trees on the edge of Woodbridge, sloping down to the saltmarsh and mudflats of the River Deben. At barely four acres it’s a modest spot, but a long-loved local walk with wide views over the estuary. It was reputedly the National Trust’s first property in Suffolk, given in 1934. Open access all year, a short walk from Woodbridge station about a kilometre off.
