Come for a concert: Snape Maltings, a huge Victorian malthouse on the reedbeds of the River Alde, was converted into a concert hall in 1967 and remains the main home of the Aldeburgh music festival. The complex also holds galleries and shops and the Plough and Sail pub. Saxmundham station is about 5km north.
