Poulton-le-Fylde has kept a genuinely old market-town centre, unusual for this stretch of the Fylde. Around the cobbled square you’ll find the stocks, a whipping post, an old market cross and St Chad’s church up its flight of steps, all ringed by independent shops and cafés. It’s a nice pocket of history close to Blackpool. The station is a short walk from the square.
