Victorian seaside tower, Britain's brashest resort landmark.
Blackpool Tower has loomed over the prom since 1894, when the resort’s grandees decided the town needed its own answer to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It stands 158m tall, and the lift up to the top delivers you onto a glass Skywalk floor with views along the whole Fylde coast. There’s a famous ballroom and a circus down at the base too. Admission charge; Blackpool North station is a short walk away.
