Crovie is a single row of cottages set gable-end to the sea on a ledge so narrow there’s no room for a road — you park at the top and walk in. The 1953 North Sea storm washed houses away and ended the fishing here, and most of the surviving cottages are now holiday lets. A cliff path west links it to neighbouring Gardenstown.
