Burnham-on-Crouch is a yachting town on the River Crouch, its Georgian quayside painted in seafront colours and its water busy with racing dinghies — the sailing earned it the nickname the Cowes of the East Coast. Ye Olde White Harte Hotel sits right on the quay. The station is a short walk north of the waterfront.
