Bromyard is a small timber-framed market town in the Frome valley, with narrow streets of old buildings and a parish church above them. It makes a handy base for the wooded Brockhampton Estate just to the east — a National Trust manor house and parkland — and for the open heath of Bringsty Common nearby.
