The Fountain Inn stands on the main street of Tenbury Wells, a black-and-white timber-framed pub hung with flower baskets in summer. Parts of it go back to the seventeenth century, and it sits in a small market town on the River Teme long known for its old orchards. Ludlow is the nearest station, about 11km to the north-west over the county line into Shropshire.
