Wye Valley is Herefordshire’s best-known brewery, based at Stoke Lacy. Peter Amor, once a brewer at Guinness, started it in 1985 behind a pub, and it grew until it took over a former cider mill here in 2002. Its pale ale, HPA, is the beer you’ll meet most often across pubs in the county. Tours and tastings run by arrangement, usually for groups, so it’s worth ringing ahead. There’s a shop on site.
