The Whittern, a farm at Stretton Grandison, has grown blackcurrants for around 150 years, and turns some of the crop into British Cassis — a blackcurrant liqueur fermented with champagne yeast and fortified with a little vodka. The estate also makes sparkling wine and cider. Tours take you round the fields and the Cassiserie with a tasting at the end, by arrangement; a newer option pairs the visit with e-bikes. Ledbury station is roughly 9km away.
