Boddam is a small fishing village just south of Peterhead, tucked behind the rocky headland of Buchan Ness. The lighthouse on the point was built by Robert Stevenson and first lit in 1827, reached by a short causeway from the shore. Dyce, the nearest station, is a long way off — this is coast you come to by car.
