Blairgowrie sits on the River Ericht at the heart of Scotland’s raspberry-growing country, and it’s the main gateway north to the ski slopes of Glenshee. It’s also a trailhead for the Cateran Trail, a circular long-distance walk through the glens. The old mills along the river are a reminder of its flax and jute days. It’s a drive from any station — Dunkeld is about 15km west.
